In accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Moldova, foreign citizens, who have arrived to study, are obliged to obtain from any insurance company Health Insurance, which is valid for 3 months. This insurance is necessary to obtain a temporary residence permit on the territory of the Republic of Moldova. It is mandatory that the medical insurance covers the treatment costs for infectious diseases as well.
After obtaining the temporary residence permit, foreign students are obliged, just like the citizens of the Republic of Moldova, to procure the Compulsory Medical Insurance Policy, which is valid for one calendar year. Students benefit from registration with the family doctor within the University Medical Office.
